Doors
Doors are surprisingly uninteresting. Considering that they are the first impression of your home from the outside. Every room has them and yet most homes have the same doors with panels in slightly different styles and finished in white. For very little cost the hinges and knob can be embellished with ornament. From there your imagination is the only limitation. Start with a flat door and add an architectural wall panel or finish it to look like aged brass, stainless or mahagony. Stencil it entirely with pattern like Marie Antoinette's boudoir door.
